We lived in this "penthouse" apartment from 1978 - 1981. The landlord always has American tenants because it is steady income. They have since renovated and added the additional rooms on the right side of the building. We had a great view of the La Maddalena harbor and the island of Santo Stefano from our top floor. We spent many days barbecuing from the patio. We always had to ration water because the island always has water shortages especially during the summer. Mom would fill the tub so we could flush the toilet and wait until we had full loads before we washed laundry. The apartment is on Via Mount Sinai.
